Bit Che - Not Changing the Name.. [Old Poll, you can still vote]

I'm not changing the name from Bit Che. I like the name *best* and so does the majority of everyone else, so it stands.

Edit: I have re-done the poll to include my favorite options for name/theme possibilities for Bit Che. Please re-vote for your favorite one! (or 2)..   also, I removed Bit Che from the choices because its clear that this is everyone's first choice, and at this point, I would like to see how they feel about the proposed alternatives.  THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!

Im open to hearing about renaming suggestions for Bit Che again. I think the lack of Bit Che being spread around the net is still because of its name.

I still like Bit Che the best, but certain sites refuse to post it with a name that could seem vulgar 'bitch'.

I'm wondering if we can find a great name that keeps in the tradition of short and sweet like 'Bit Che' but would also be more appealing to the public.

In the end, I will probably always just keep the name Bit Che, but if there is another great name out there, maybe keeping this poll open will help all of us find it.

I agree, when I first heard about Bit Che i thought you were trying to say "Bitch", I had no idea that Che meant friend in portugeuse.
I think the name may have some affect as to how widespread Bit Che is becoming. People also don't know how to pronounce it in person so it makes situations awkward.


Of those selections, I personally like Bit Dig. I don't like this as much but Bit Digger might be a suggestion too.

1) Bit Che - Because I pronounce it Bit (gap) Che (as in Cheese) with much emphasis on Ch, so it never becomes awkward.

2) Bit Ninja - Because I love Ninjas!!

I love Bit Che probably because of Guevara but if you change maybe something like Bit Me, Bit World, Bit Champion, Bit Thunder, Bit Friend, Bit People, Bit Sun, Bit Planet...never easy to choose a name.

I picked Bit Ninja,bit I wounldnt be heart broken if it stays Bit Che,I pronounce it Bit Shay,it just looks to me like it's meant to be pronounced that way!

Well I thought it would be "Ninja those torrents" as in the MMORPG reference to Ninjaering loot. I kinda preferred Bit Ninja to BT Ninja, it's nothing big, just that the main telephone company here is called BT (British Telecom), but if you changed the name to that I'm sure the link will soon fade in my head.

Certainly my favourite idea so far.

haha, part of the reason why i like the idea so far involving 'ninja' is because almost everyone loves ninjas, im sure there's lots of tag lines we could come up with..  some could be obvious jokes, 'ninjas hate pirates, please torrent responsibly'.  also im sure one of our artists could do a nice logo/icon involving a ninja

since we're just brainstorming, no need to limit the names/combinations:

bt ninja
bit ninja
torrent ninja
bit torrent ninja

btn seems like good initials to reference the program, but as far as using 'torrent', the only reason i would maybe prefer using 'bit' or 'bt' instead is for overall shortness of the name.
