!
ok... good news
i updated the unlock script...
to Unlock Guevara Edition, users can enter into Bit Che:
Forums Email & Password (if their account is unlocked)
Paypal Email & use the
Donation ID
as the password. (This is sent in an Email from the Convivea Automated System when a donation is received.)
notes:
if they use the Paypal Email and Donation ID, the script will also check if there is a Convivea Forums account with the same Email and automatically unlock the forums account here as well..
the Convivea Automated System also unlocks the Forums account if their paypal email matches an Forums account when the donation is initially recieved.
also, by this updated system, users using their Email / DonationID combo are not *required* to have a Forums account to unlock Bit Che (atleast for now.. we shall see, since this is good and bad for the Forums.)
this should help cut down on requiring the mods to manually unlock donaters... although, this might be a little confusing for some users right now. but ill continue to make this easier for everyone, i promise
as always, i appreciate your feedback feedback
and thanks everyone thats helping the community to grow around here.. im going to be taking some time off work in the next few weeks so i can spend a little more time around here as well

Great idea. I'd comment more, but it late and my brain is fried.

Nice work chip! You did it again.
The media filtering is a really cool addition, especially if your searching titles that contain very very common words like "love" and "war".
I also like the added F2 button to hide/show the script sidebar (and also the not obvious right click on the media button to do the same). One day, you'll have to document all this in a help file... (and I'll translate it in French of course).
The name "Guevarra edition" is also a nice idea, since at last you let people understand the true nature of this mysterious "Bit Che" name.
I have a few suggestions though:
- The arrow next to the search button is a little confusing and at my opinion unnecessary. I think opening a new tab for each search should be standard. User should be able to change that in the "Options" menu.
- What is this search arrow's context menu for? (scroll here, left edge, ...). Don't have the slightest idea and changing it doesn't have the slightest effect.
- Closing a tab leaves a hole in the tabs row. I suggest all tabs should be regrouped to the left.
- Right now, there is no way to know which media is associated to a tab. What should be done is change the media button when you click on a search tab. Another indirect way to provide the info would be to replace the tab label when you right click on it (since you already use a similar trick for the media button..).
- If a search implies many words, you can only see the first 15 characters in a tab. I twould be nice to provide the complete search keywords in a rollover popup.

Yeah
I agree with everything there..
hehe, yeah I know its not standard, but I really got used to being able to click once to view/hide the scripts bar, so I'm going to keep that in, and if anyone notices it, and uses it, then its all good
Glad you like the name.. seems like a perfect match to provide a few extra features, and also provide a little clarity to the name.
- The arrow might be a little confusing, I understand.. but for the time being, its probably the simplest way to allow both single window searches and new Tab searches with the smallest amount of control space... Also, the arrow currently will allow you to launch another search tab while you have one going (since the 'search' button currently doubles as the 'Stop' button).. but we can refine this after a little more time goes by.. but I have added a menu option to 'Open Searches in New Tabs' if you want that functionality to be default..
- The arrow's context menu doesn't do anything and shouldn't appear.. so thats been removed.
- Yeah, the tab leaves a hole, thats a design 'problem' from a coders perspective with the tab control that I created.. so in the future I should be able to re-work this to allow the tabs to slide over.. right now its a tab ordering / number problem (dealing with how the tabs arrays are kept track of internally).
- I've updated this so switching the tab also changes the Profile button's caption, and also, as a combination of the next suggestion, I've appended the media type to the end of the tooltip that will popup on a tab displaying the full search keywords..
excellent suggestions... I'll upload the build 51 after I go eat dinner, and also bundle your updated French translation.
Thanks!

no problem.. can you explain a little more of the problem?
which texts (specifically) are a problem to read?
is its a problem of date/time format?
will it help to create a 'greek' language file? lets figure this out

Thanks for having taken my suggestions into account. Identification of Search tabs is now very clear.
Finally, I think I changed my mind about the arrow next to the Search button. Having using it a bit, now I think it's very useful when you want to initiate a new search right after another, as you said chip.
I guess I may have found a small bug : the X at the end of the tab lines doesnt close tabs anymore. In fact, it doesn't do anything.

see the problem in the picture. i will make a greek.ini when i will have time but i dont know if this fix the problem. maybe the created tab support only arial and not unicode characters?
Can you set an option in the options to select the default action for double click? i would like to open torrent with double click and not to view details

sabnorton, I fixed the close all X button.. thanks for pointing that out. I also optimized the close all routine so if you have several open they all unload much quicker now.
bigdaveangell, thanks
exoskeletor, interesting.. I guess the stupid VB controls don't support Unicode characters at all. so, a 'greek.ini' wouldnt even work right now. I will have to spend some time thinking about what to do here.. in the mean time, I'll try to find a fix for that date display problem. and I will add a option for default action to be open torrent.. no problem.

The Guevara Edition is still off limits to me. I see you added puretna and fileporn that I mentioned in another post. How do I get those scripts?
Another suggestion. I use the following sites to download TV shows all the time. Would ideal to add these. They are listed in order of the best at the top.
http://tvrss.net/shows/
http://www.eztvefnet.org/?main=showlist
http://www.xtvi.com/
http://www.bt-tv.net/index.php
I should have enough posts soon to quality for the Guevara Edition.

actually that will not do it (unless I messed up) because I'm not including the adult scripts with the standard script package.. but I did put instructions on how to use them on the thread where you can download them..
